25(b) Products, Explained Simply

Section 25(b) of FIFRA provides an exemption from federal pesticide registration for products that meet all required ingredient, labeling and other conditions. States may still require registration. It does not mean EPA has reviewed or endorsed a particular exempt product.

Nova Naturals uses botanical products selected for the pest and application site. Botanical does not mean chemical-free or risk-free; product directions and precautions still matter.

Read EPA’s conditions for minimum-risk pesticides.

What 25(b) products treat
Ants, spiders, earwigs, wasps, box elder bugs, beetles, centipedes, and other common household invaders. They work best for preventative protection and ongoing habitat disruption rather than heavy infestations of specialized pests like German cockroaches.

Rockwell Labs’ Eco Extend adjuvant is designed to help botanical pesticides spread and stick and to protect against UV degradation. It does not establish a guaranteed number of weeks of control at every property. Weather, surfaces, application and pest activity affect results.

Nova Naturals visits are typically scheduled about every four weeks; that service interval is not a promise of uninterrupted residual effectiveness. See the manufacturer’s Eco Extend information.

Is 25(b) Pest Control Right for Your Home?

Nova Naturals may suit homeowners who prefer a botanical approach. We assess the pest, property and treatment goals before recommending it. Tell us about pets, children, sensitivities, edible plants and nearby water so we can discuss suitable applications and precautions.

Near-water treatment depends on the exact product directions and conditions. Our waterfront spider guide explains EcoVia products, docks and boathouses.

Compare visit frequency and service options in our Shield, Strike and Naturals plan guide. Some pest problems require a separate specialty service.

Professional Application Makes the Difference

Our licensed technicians select products and application locations for the pest, surface and conditions at your property, following the product labels. The treatment approach may include a botanical liquid or dust where appropriate.

Keep people and pets away from treated areas until dry and follow any additional product-specific instructions. Our prep and aftercare guide explains the practical steps.
