“Termite station” describes the equipment. What is inside determines whether it monitors for termites or also contains a product that kills them. Supernova offers both approaches for subterranean termite programs.
Monitoring plus termite control. These stations contain termite bait with an active ingredient. Foraging termites must find and feed on it; the bait works over time to control the colony.
Choose this option when you want a station program with a termite-killing component. We inspect and service the stations according to the product requirements and your property’s conditions.
A lower-cost way to watch for activity. These stations contain monitoring material without termite-killing bait. They give us places to check for termite feeding.
They do not kill termites or treat an infestation. If activity appears, we explain the findings and quote a suitable treatment or active-bait option before proceeding.

An inspection for a loan is separate from an ongoing station program. Installing monitors does not replace a lender-requested inspection.
Requirements depend on the transaction and property. VA’s official local requirements do not list Idaho or Washington among states with a blanket wood-destroying insect inspection requirement; appraisal findings can still trigger one. Ask your lender what your loan needs.

Termites can be hidden in wood or soil. Mud tubes, discarded wings, and damaged wood warrant a closer look, but a photo or one symptom cannot establish the full extent of a problem.
Save a sample if practical and tell us where you found it. A swarm in a distant stump does not, by itself, prove your house is infested.
Earthen tubes on foundation surfaces, piers, or other routes between soil and wood can be evidence of subterranean termites.
Termite swarmers have a broad waist, straight antennae, and two pairs of similarly sized wings. Ant swarmers have a narrow waist, bent antennae, and larger front wings.
Tunneling or unusually soft wood deserves inspection. Moisture damage and other wood-destroying insects can produce symptoms that need a different response.
Leaks, persistently damp crawlspaces, and structural wood touching soil are conditions to address, even when no termites are visible.
