Real answers to the questions we get most from homeowners across Idaho and Washington. No jargon, no runaround, just the truth about how pest control works with Supernova.
Supernova Shield starts at $43/month, with monthly billing and scheduled treatments every 90 days. Nova Naturals recurring service starts at $89/month, with visits typically about every four weeks. Supernova Strike starts at $169 for a one-time service.
Your quote confirms the service scope, billing schedule, and any initial charge before you book. Rodents, bed bugs, and termite services are quoted separately. Compare plans and pricing.
Yes. We offer a free pest inspection to assess pest activity, discuss the areas of concern, and recommend appropriate service without an obligation to book. Access and the type of problem affect what we can inspect.
Specialty transaction inspections and written reports, such as termite inspections for a home purchase or refinance, have a separate scope and quote. Tell us what documentation you need before booking.
We serve the LC Valley, including Lewiston, Clarkston, and Asotin; the Palouse, including Moscow and Pullman; North Idaho, including Coeur d’Alene, Post Falls, Rathdrum, Hayden, Athol, and Sandpoint; and the Spokane area.
We also serve surrounding communities. Check our service area page or ask about your address and the service you need.
We work toward same-day or next-day availability in the LC Valley, the Palouse, and the Coeur d’Alene area. Openings depend on the day’s route, current bookings, your location, and the service needed.
Contact us for the earliest available appointment. Tell us if you have a preferred day or time, and we will try to work it into the schedule.
We select products and application areas for the pest and property, follow product-label precautions, and explain what you need to do before and after service. Tell us about children, pets, sensitivities, aquariums, ponds, and animal enclosures before the visit.
Keep people and pets away during application and off treated surfaces until sprays are fully dry, following any additional return instructions. Botanical products also require precautions. Read our preparation and aftercare guidance.
We start with inspection and identification, look for conditions supporting the pest, and review access and safety. Web removal also serves as a sweep for toys, bowls, and other items to move before treatment.
We select products and methods for the pest, property, and conditions, following the label. General pest service includes exterior work, with interior service available on request. The specific applications depend on what your property needs. Specialty services follow their own plans. See our service process.
Active Supernova Shield quarterly plan customers receive free re-service between scheduled visits when covered pests return. Tell us what you are seeing and where so we can assess the activity and arrange the appropriate next step.
Strike has a 30-day follow-up option; contact us to discuss persistent activity and what is included in your service. Naturals and specialty services have their own follow-up arrangements, explained with your quote.
Yes. We can review Shield, Naturals, and Strike with you and recommend an option for your current needs. Before a change, we explain its price, visit frequency, coverage, and follow-up terms. There are no cancellation fees for ending your current service.
Your quote confirms the price and service scope before work begins. We do not add surprise charges or change your plan without discussing it with you.
If a future rate or service change becomes necessary, we explain it before it affects your service. You can ask questions, adjust your plan, or cancel without a cancellation fee.
Yes. We work with restaurants, rental properties, warehouses, and other commercial spaces. We discuss pest activity, access, scheduling, and any reporting needs when planning service. Tell us about documentation requested by your property manager, business, or inspector so we can confirm the scope.
Often, you do not need to be home for exterior-only service once we have agreed on access arrangements. Make sure we can reach the areas to be serviced and keep pets securely away from the work area. Tell us about locked gates or other access issues.
For future scheduled visits, we send a reminder 1–5 days ahead by text, email, or phone. If you want interior service or need a different time, reply or contact us so we can coordinate the visit. Read our service process.
Yes. The right schedule depends on the pest, property, season, and activity you are seeing. Quarterly service works for many homes; heavier or recurring pressure may call for every-other-month visits or another schedule. Nova Naturals is typically serviced about every four weeks.
Tell us what has changed. We will explain any recommended adjustment, including the price, visit frequency, and follow-up terms, before changing your plan. Compare service options.
A general pest visit often takes about 20 to 40 minutes, but this is an estimate rather than a fixed time limit. Property size, access, pest activity, and the work needed can change the duration. Specialty services may take longer. We discuss the expected scope when arranging your visit.
For many exterior-only visits, you can remain indoors while keeping people and pets away from the outdoor work area. Interior treatment requires staying out of the areas being treated and following the drying, ventilation, and return instructions for the actual products used. There is no single waiting period for every service.
For our bed bug service, arrange for people and pets to stay out overnight and return only when the instructions we provide have been met. See our general preparation and aftercare instructions or the bed bug prep guide.
Shield uses conventional pest-control products selected for the pest and property, with scheduled visits every 90 days. Nova Naturals uses 25(b)-exempt botanical products, with recurring visits typically about every four weeks; one-time service is also available.
These are service schedules. How long an application remains effective depends on the product, surface, weather, and pest activity. Both approaches require label precautions. We help you choose based on your preferences and the problem we find.
Section 25(b) provides an exemption from federal pesticide registration for products that meet all required ingredient, labeling, and other conditions. States may still require registration. The exemption does not mean EPA has reviewed or endorsed an individual product.
Nova Naturals uses botanical products selected for the pest and application site. Botanical does not mean chemical-free or risk-free. Learn more on our What is 25(b) page.
Yes. Bed bug treatment is one of our specialties and helped launch Supernova. As of September 2026, Zach reports that every completed bed bug job has been resolved. That experience shapes our approach to each new property.
Our standard plan includes an initial treatment and a follow-up 14 days later to inspect progress and address remaining activity. Any further work depends on what we find. Your quote confirms the scope and price. Read our bed bug preparation and aftercare guide.
Yes. Our rodent program combines indoor trapping, monitored exterior bait stations where appropriate, and recommendations for sealing entry points. We do not place rodenticide bait inside homes.
We own and service the tamper-resistant stations we install. Keep children and pets away from traps and stations, and report damaged equipment. Physical exclusion work is quoted separately according to its scope.
Yes. We offer termite monitoring and protection, including monitoring stations without active bait and stations with active bait. Monitoring-only stations help detect activity; they do not contain a product to kill termites. We explain the options, check schedule, and quote for your property. If activity is found, we assess the appropriate treatment plan.
We also offer termite inspections for purchases and refinancing, including VA-related requests. Tell us the reporting requirements and deadline so we can confirm the inspection scope and price before booking.
Tell us where you are seeing pests and provide reasonable access to those areas. Move pet bowls, chew toys, children’s toys, and other loose items out of the outdoor treatment area. Arrange a separate place for pets and tell us about aquariums, ponds, or animal enclosures.
For general interior service, a lived-in home is fine; you do not need to empty every room. Specialty services have their own instructions. Use our prep and aftercare guide or, for a scheduled bed bug visit, the bed bug preparation guide.
We consider the weather, surfaces, pest, and product directions before exterior work. If conditions are unsuitable, we may adjust the work or reschedule.
Rain after a visit does not automatically mean treatment has failed or needs repeating. Tell us when it rained and what activity you are seeing so we can assess the situation and explain the next step.
Some activity can continue while a treatment takes effect. The timeline depends on the pest, treatment method, extent of the problem, and whether new pests are entering. A sighting alone does not tell the whole story.
Note where and when you see activity; photos can help. Contact us if it persists, worsens, or differs from what we told you to expect. Ask before adding sprays or disturbing bait placements. Our homeowner guides explain pest-specific preparation, aftercare, and prevention.
No. Supernova is independently owned and operated. We’re a local company with local technicians who live and work in the communities we serve.
Supernova was founded by Zach Leavitt after years working inside a national pest control company and personally eliminating a bed bug infestation at a 42-room motel in Lewiston, Idaho. The full story is on our About page.
We want your continued business to depend on the service you receive. You should be able to ask questions, change your plan, or leave without a cancellation penalty. We work to earn your trust through the care we take and the way we follow through.
