Waterfront living can mean plenty of flying insects around the house. Those insects provide food for web-building spiders. Lights near windows, doors and decks can concentrate that activity, while eaves and sheltered corners offer places to build webs.
Spiders also help control insects. Our focus is managing activity where it interferes with your home and outdoor spaces. Removing webs, reducing insect attraction and addressing entry points all matter; a spray alone cannot make a shoreline permanently spider-free.

We start with web removal and a safety sweep, checking accessible eaves, entry points and the areas where you notice the most activity. Let us know about troublesome dock or boat house areas when you book.
We choose products and application methods for the pest, surface and location. Near water, the exact label matters. We also look at the insects supporting spider activity and practical ways to reduce them.
We use your results and the property’s conditions to recommend a visit schedule. Waterfront homes with persistent web buildup may benefit from more frequent attention during periods of heavy activity.
Our Nova Naturals service uses botanical products, including Rockwell Labs’ EcoVia EC and EcoVia dust. One reason we choose EcoVia is its range of labeled uses, including specific options for structures close to the water.
This botanical liquid concentrate has directions specifically for spiders and other nuisance pests on boat houses and boat docks. For those applications, surfaces are treated only until damp, without runoff, and the product is not applied directly to water.
EcoVia WD can be used as a dust or mixed with water as a wettable powder. We use its dust form for appropriate labeled locations, such as cracks, crevices and voids. The placement and application method depend on the site.
Rockwell also makes Eco Extend, an additive designed to help botanical sprays spread, stick and resist breakdown from sunlight. Any added product must fit the application and its own directions; it does not expand EcoVia’s permitted uses.
EcoVia EC and EcoVia WD are sold as FIFRA 25(b) minimum-risk pesticides, exempt from federal EPA registration when the exemption’s conditions are met. That status does not mean EPA has reviewed or endorsed them, or that every 25(b) product can be used on a dock. We follow the specific product directions and applicable requirements.

Nova Shield: Our standard ongoing plan uses quarterly visits. For some properties with heavier spider activity, we may recommend a custom schedule, such as every other month, after discussing what you are seeing.
Nova Naturals: Our botanical service is typically scheduled about every four weeks. A one-time Naturals treatment can also be quoted. Visit frequency is a service plan, not a promise that every treated surface remains effective for a set number of days.

No. Botanical products still have use directions and precautions. We select the product for the application and explain when you and your pets can use the treated area again.

Not automatically. Ongoing service is typically outside unless you request interior service. If spiders are appearing indoors, tell us where you see them so we can inspect and discuss the next step.
